Some Zoom Participation Norms

Edit your name in your Zoom preferences to what you’d like us/others to call you. Include preferred pronouns please! (e.g., “Stina Krist (she/her/hers)”)

  • Click "Participants" in the lower menu bar
  • Find yourself and click "More"
  • Select "Rename"

Please turn your video ON as much as possible! However, during whole-group presentations, we ask that all participants mute themselves and turn off video to preserve bandwidth.

During whole group sessions, please use the chat function in Zoom to ask questions. We will have a designated moderator for Q&A.

Ask each other questions! Get to know each other! We are all disappointed to not be able to interact in person, and we hope that this workshop can provide a small opportunity for some of those invaluable interactions.

In small groups, be mindful of how much you are talking and help ensure that each member of your group has a chance to contribute.
